The young malinois girl that stayed with me for a while this summer after killing another dog is now in training to work for a security company in Sweden. After finding the full truth of the situation with the first owner I got very angry, she handled the dog extremely clumsy. Do you think breeders should talk to each other and black list sentence persons? Best regards from Norway

What do you suggest is better for taking walks, a harness or collar and leash? Thank you.

This question is for Elke our 11 month old working line GSD. Do you ever use the tone function on an ecollar? I have been slowly introducing the ecollar and have seen some suggestions on using the tone function. One specific suggestion I have seen is to use it for corrections in the home. So rather than us (the human) saying "no" for lets say sniffing the trashcan, we would use the tone function by holding the tone until the dog moves from the trash. Overtime the tone should deter the dog from the behavior. I am not convinced on this and would like to hear your take on it. I personally just like to use the "no" and add a physical correction if needed like a pop on the prong. (by the way, Elke does not sniff the trash because I have never let her). Thanks for your insights!

How to go best about introducing dogs. Our puppy is m, 14 weeks, (Staffie/black mouth cur/plott hound/malinois), the other dog is a Standard poodle, m, 4-5 years old and belongs to our deathly ill neighbour. My husband and I walk them together daily, loads of peaceful contact on the leash (poodle growled once when our puppy was a nuisance, warning growl) they smell each other and attempt to play. I’m wanting to give them the chance to play in our backyard. How do I approach this? Puppy leashed and poodle free? Both free? Poodle has been very isolated for the past 2-3 years due to neighbours' health, our puppy is young and a nuisance.
