We have a 10 month old female working line GSD and have been working on her reactivity to other dogs. Since implementing the loose leash protocol we have had great results. She is making good choices and responding to any obedience we may ask when another dog is present. However, not sure how to handle the following situation. When we are in our front yard or on the front porch and another dog passes by on the opposite side of the road (on a side walk) she will bark but will not pull or lunge. The leash remains loose and she will even come and sit next to me. However, she may continue to bark intermittently. Not sure if I should correct this knowing that barking is a part of reactivity or ignore it. I hesitate to correct because she is next to me and following a sit command. I would walk away but that is difficult in our yard or front porch. If I take her inside then she would get more amped up. Thanks for your advice!

Very very high drive puppy (former stray, ~10 weeks, Male, DNA test: Staffordshire/Malinois/Plott Hound/Black Mouth Cur). Crate training is going well, training in general is going very very well, rest time is going very well but dog is still bursting with energy and just wants to do things. I have trained multiple high drive dogs but this puppy is totally next level - any ideas on what we could do? Doing basic (joint friendly) agility, basic scent training, playtime with older safe dogs every other day, multiple training sessions a day (10-15mins each) and playtime and we go on short walks. Very good dog but really not a good mix of breeds. Thank you!
